Melissa Did NewportMelissa Did Newport

The setting was intimate, the atmosphere relaxed and easy yet teeming with excitement. Melissa Etheridge treated the audience, of nearly 2,000 at the Newport Yachting Center, to her songwriter’s journey through life, loves, cancer, and beyond. From her classics like Somebody Bring me Some Water and Come to My Window to her newest inspirations Message to Myself and the Oscarwinning I Need to Wake Up (featured in the documentary An Inconvenient Truth), there was something for everyone to enjoy, relate and sing along to. The near capacity crowd rose quickly to their feet dancing in the aisles and offering riotous applause. The fun never ended throughout the two hour show filled with Melissa’s signature rock-nroll style and energy.
